Academic Requirements

Course of Study

Parents create a course of study aligned with Florida Department of Education standards. We provide guidance to ensure compliance. Families outside Florida must meet their state's requirements. Course plans must be submitted within 30 days of enrollment.

Attendance Requirements

Parents maintain daily attendance records. Florida requires 180 instructional days annually; we require minimum 170 days. Educational field trips and co-op days count as instructional time.

Kindergarten 540 hours ≈ 3 hours/day
Grades 1-3 720 hours ≈ 4 hours/day
Grades 4-12 900 hours ≈ 5 hours/day

Grade Reporting & Portfolio Requirements

Grade Reporting

  • Parent-assigned grades
  • Submitted twice yearly (December & May)
  • Added to permanent cumulative file

Portfolio Contents

  • Lesson plans and instruction dates
  • Student work samples
  • Kept minimum 4 years
  • Subject to annual review

Testing Requirements

All students complete skill assessment testing. We recommend MAP Growth assessment through Homeschool Boss - convenient, flexible, and designed for homeschoolers. High school juniors and seniors may take SAT, ACT, or PERT exams.

Student Records & Transfer Requirements

All student records must be submitted within 10 days of enrollment.

From Public/Private School

  • Complete 603 Official Form
  • Submit to previous school
  • Official withdrawal documentation

From Homeschooling (K-8)

  • Birth certificate copy
  • Immunization form
  • Achievement testing
  • Attendance records
  • Progress reports & grades
  • Portfolio & curriculum used

High School (9-12)

  • Complete high school records
  • Credits and courses completed
  • All grades and attendance
  • Achievement testing
  • Portfolio & curriculum
  • Senior year must be completed with Integrity Learning Academy
